Can't update to 4.0.4?

Tried ota and it says an update is available but the servers are busy. Tried downloading kies to my computer and it got to he point where the little android guy pops up on the screen and it says downloading but i left it like that for a little over 3 hours today and nothing happened. So im wondering what i should do as id like to be upgraded to ics

I'm in the same boat I have installed and take kies off for the last 3 hours and still it will not update or even recognize my phone this sucks. sadly I have to say I never had this kind of problem with i tunes and i have searched this site and samsung and you tube its very frustrating. can anyone offer any advice or possible solutions. Thanks
