Can't use handscent/download

Okay so i just updated and I tried going into handscent and it did not work all I got was a blackscreen, but above it at the top it says handscent SMS so I had to hit the home key to get back.

I then tried to uninstall it and reinstall, but when I hit install from the marketplace all it says is "starting download" and never gets anywhere. Please someone help me!

I can't even make phone calls either! I just tried making one and it won't even allow me to make a phone call.
