Can't view pics from SD on HTC ONE M8 in gallery

Loaded pics from old phone to a SD card and inserted in new HTC ONE M8 phone. They don't show up in the gallery how do I get them to show up?

First make sure the card is mounted, in Settings>Storage​. If so, see what happens if you reboot the phone.
