Capacitive buttons are way to sensitive and screen.

I have a launch day EVO. is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the capacitive buttons. i find myself hitting the home button a lot. and every time i let someone use the phone they always hit it. It's getting really annoying now. i wish HTC would have just used normal buttons. a 1.5 to 2 second long hold would've been better. anybody else feel the buttons are to sensitive? and for the screen when I'm scrolling thru my apps and if i stop, it will select the app for it. I'm just getting really annoyed with how sensitive the screen is.

i found that the more i use the phone the more comfortable and knowledgeable i become with it and the less errors i make in selection.

the EVO is like a beautiful woman - it needs a delicate touch.

Stop being such a brute and just hold her touch softly ....

I had the same problem until I ran the "Calibration tool"

Go to: Menu--> Settings--> Language and Keyboard--> Touch input--> Text input--> Calibration tool

Did the trick for me and made using my EVO much more useful.

thankyou. i'm going to try this.

I actually like that I barely have to touch it to do things. Typing is amazing with a light touch, and scrolling... don't even get me started on how much I love it.

:)

Good luck with calibration; let us know how it goes!
