I just got my Galaxy S Captivate today and I love it. I was having problems with getting DoubleTwist to sync my playlists from iTunes using a Mac with OS X. I found a solution to the problem and figured that others may be having the same issue.

Basically, you're turning on USB Debugging. The link above isn't very clear so for those who aren't very technical. The steps you would take are:

1. Go into "Settings"
2. Choose "Applications"
3. Choose "Development"
4. Choose "USB Debugging" - you'll get a prompt about what it does etc - don't worry about it. It won't break anything.
5. Exit settings
6. Start up "DoubleTwist"
7. Follow the instructions in "DoubleTwist"

I hope this helps others who might have had this problem. I got a LOT of information from Android Central before I decided to drop the iPhone/iOS and move to a more advanced OS :) I figure I should give back now!

It worked!

JackImageX, I also bought the Captivate today and am loving everything about it. I was having the same issue with Double Twist and your instructions were PERFECT. Thank you! :)

I'm glad it worked out for you both. I guess I should add also...

If you can't connect again later, it's most likely that the USB bus on the phone is going haywire (you need to turn it off by pulling down the notifications and selecting "Turn off USB storage"). This is easy to fix also - just reboot your phone.

There is also a DoubleTwist app available in the Marketplace that seems to be pretty good. They say it's free now for a short time.
