Car Bluetooth connectivity issues

I got my Note 10 yesterday with the Activity Bundle (Gear Sport and Ear Buds) and set it all up at work. I am switching from iPhone XS. I got to my car and tried to set it up and at first it connected, but then it wouldn’t load my contacts and during a call it would cut out about a minute in with a loud beep and I would lose all connection. Then, I tried again and it would only connect for phone calls and no audio. Contacts will not load at all and the calls keep cutting out. I have a 2015 BMW X1 and I tried to upload the latest update but it didn’t work for some reason. I’m about to go back to iPhone and wait for the Pixel at this point. I had the same issue with a S6 edge plus years ago. Drives me nuts. Pun intended. Any one else having these issues???

I have a BMW 430 using both my iPhone and S10+ just make sure you go into the menu on the car and under manage phones the Note has call icon and music icon for Bluetooth... If anything delete all phones and connect the Note and make sure both are enabled..

I tried all that already, unfortunately. I’m going to call the BMW dealership too to see if there might be another way to update their software.

Hopefully it's just the update in the software.. I don't recall the last update I did on mine... Good luck with it.. Let's us know... Unless someone has other idea
