Car charger, charge light on but does not charge.

My phone charges fine when I plug it into a wall charger. However, when I try to plug it into a car charger the phone's charge light appears but the phone does not charge.
Why is the phone not charging with a car charger?

What device is it? Is it the OEM car charger specific to that device or a 3rd party charger? It's very possible that your phone wants a 1A charge and your car charger is delivering .5A.

I found out what the problem was! It was not the charger, it's because of the phone. My phone stops charging when the phone is overheated it's a safety mechanism that kicks in to stop the phone from over heating.If I'm doing something that takes up a lot of power, I have to let the phone cool down before charging it.
