Car Home

while searching for the fabled new google Car Home/dock app, I stumbled across a relatively new app called Car Home.

It is still in beta, but man is it sweet. Not only does it have 18 customizable buttons (with supposed direct dial), but it also has some kickass functions on the left side. On the top-left, it shows the speed. Middle-left, your direction (with degrees?), and on the bottom-left, your gps-enabled weather (WITH PRESS TO SPEECH!).

It also lets you know where you are street-wise on a bar at the top, with some random updates on road changes and upcoming streets if you want them (i think, i havent played with it to much).

and no, I am not the creator. i just like the app.

Is this the same as 'Custom Car Home'? I can't find it on the App Brain market, but I did find that one.

i just got it can't wait to try it out on the road. I always wondered why google maps does not show your speed....

C'mon, it's Phoenix. 99% of the days are hot and sunny. It's just trying to give you some variety. :-D
