Car Mount/ Car Panel

I was playing with the Car Dock/Mount today and I noticed that when you pull the TB down and to the right it syncs with the car panel that is missing from my app drawer. So, I guess there is a magnet in there that loads the car panel just like on my Droid 2.

my complaint with the car mount is that it just feels like garbage compared to the droid 2 mount which was very sturdy. Although the clip that suctions the cup is very sturdy. So I guess if you can't get it load to pull the TB down and to the right and the panel will load.

I am looking for a panel that runs like the Droid 2 liberty rom Car panel. Is there a program that I can download for free like it? Thanks

There are tons of free and payed car docks apps in the Market... try: car dock - Search Android Apps on AppBrain... and do believe someone recently said they took the mount apart to see what it was and said it was not a magnet, I think they said it was a small circuit board.

It's only missing from the Sense launcher. If you switch launchers (Launcher Pro, ADW, Go Launcher, etc..) it will show up in your app drawer. You can also download a shortcut app and add it to the list of shortcuts.

I got car dock 2 or something from the marketplace. I want to be able to add Pandora, Soundhound, Phone, Navi, Contacts, Winamp and this seems to be the best program for it.

I haven't test it in the car yet, but it has a function to leave leave the screen on (screen timeout).

I will let you know how it all works out. It isn't as pretty as the Liberty 2.0 one though, but I don't feel like rooting this phone as of right now.

I use CircleLauncher and the stock Car Panel is available in the App Drawer to add.

CircleLauncher does a great job de-cluttering my home screens, but some of the instances I have lag when you touch them (mainly with games that are on my SD card).
