LOL I did just get it about half an hour agoLol you just wanted to show of that beautiful phone.
Turn the phone off. That's how I duplicated it.How do you get yours to show that screen while charging? Mine doesn't.
I usually use the vent magnet mount. I've had similar to yours. I just felt like it obstructed the view.
Plus I like how it just sticks on because if the magnet. Easy on easy off.
Would love to use a magnetic car mount but I understand that one can't use a wireless charger when there's a metal plate attached to the phone or case.
That's correct. I had one in the S7 and it was able to charge. Depends on where it's placed versus where the charge coils are.Somewhat true. It really depends. It's really a matter of the magnetic plate size and placement. I haven't taken time to find the sweet spot on the S8 yet, But I managed to use a plate and still wirelessly charge my S6 just fine. Ultimately you want the plate in a central enough location that it will hold the weight of the phone with enough balance. Problem being that most of the wireless charging components are in the best spots for the plate. Right in the middle. In a matter of day's I'll be putting that magnetic plate on some hopeful locations on the back of my S8 with some temporary scotch tape and test it with the wireless charger to look for an acceptable location. One that allows the wireless charging connection, and also provides a stable location for the magnet to get a good grip.
How do u guys deal with vent mounts in the winter? I stopped using mine as I hated having the heat hitting the phone directly.I'm still using the Anker vent mount and works fine. Like everyone else said it's easy on and off.

I turn off that specific vent. I point a passenger vent my way as much as possible to compensate. How do u guys deal with vent mounts in the winter? I stopped using mine as I hated having the heat hitting the phone directly.
I guess it's car specific, my center vents don't close. Only the driver and passenger vents do (nearest the doors). If I mount near the driver door then I have to deal with getting a long cable to run over or under the steering wheel to charge as I go. Too much hassle.I turn off that specific vent. I never liked the vent mount design. Mine is on a sturdy adjustable stand that suctions to the dash. It's been very secure.Been there, done some of that. Even if you can turn your vents off, the whole concept of attaching a clip to the vent panes might not allow the closure to happen, or at least they'll let some air pass through. After trying it, I'm no longer thinking in terms of a vent mount at all. No matter what I do, if I've got heat or cooling going on, at least a little bit gets through any of the vents I would want to use. Also, I've tried a magnetic case on my S8+ -- no dice with the wireless charger. I've pretty well given up on the concept of mounting my phone in my car. I've got a cupholder insert that I can fit my phone into -- I turn the Bluetooth on and I've got a car system that'll let me do hands-free, and that's good enough for me.
