Car vent mount extra cold

Recently began using a vent mount holder for the Note 3 because using hands free car mode and maps had all phone radios engaged so the phone was getting overheated when kept in console.

Now using the Note 8 in the same vent holder I notice a slight bit of condensation on device after removing.

Because of the way the vent clips attach I cannot shut down that vent to prevent the cold air from blowing.

Anyone else experience this with their vent holders?

Do I need to panic about this haze of condensation or is the device's inherent water resistance sufficient to keep it safe?

Aside from the fact that those louvers are not made to support anywhere near the weight of a phone the size of the Notes or S8's, the cold is also not good IMO. I use a DVD slot mount for my S8+ and adjust the center louvers so they don't blow on the phone.

Yep bad location
I use a cd mount holder keeps it at eye level for maps

Yeah, my car does not have a CD player. I may just have to get creative with duct tape to block the vent.

The cold isn't bad at all for the phone. No way shape or form that you ac is gonna blow that old. The coolest you so see from a car ac vent is likely 45F

It isn't so much the cold I worry about, as it is that bit of condensation that forms upon exiting the car. Same as how my glasses fog up.

I wouldn't worry about that either too much but it may cause the phone to slip of out your hand!

Also most things that can crack are more susceptible to cracking when then are cold, so the gorilla glass might be a little more fragile if it is very cold.

I would be more concerned about this forming inside the phone. IP68 keeps water from infiltrating, but that wouldn't seem to do anything to stop condensation from forming inside the phone.
