I've read at some forums, and yes also these on ac. That the carbon grey variant of the HTC 10 has a plastic feel unlike the glacier silver one but there's never been an answer to those questions that I know or i missed those answers and can't find them back so by this are those rumours true? Cuz i'm doubting between the carbon grey and the glacier silver and this could be final decision. Thanks in advance

Where did you see that it had a plastic feel? The only phone that I saw mentioned to having a feel like that was the LG G5.

I've not seen a single mention of this phenomenon either. It would be quite the trick for a hunk of machined aluminum to feel like plastic unless it is encased in plastic or it isn't really aluminum at all.

I actually remember on the 12th there was a video I watched that said the carbon gray kinda felt like plastic compared to the silver and showed fingerprints. Trying to find the video again but there is too many on youtube now

Look at your history of viewed videos on youtube.

I have never understood the whole "it's no good because it's plasticy feeling" shtick. One of the best phones I have had was plastic, dropped it many times over two years never cracked or broke. Metal will dent, glass will break, plastic can break but it's far from reality to think plasticy means cheap or easy to break.

It's a bit down in the article under aluminum and silicone.

Hopefully it doesn't feel like the LG G5 seeing that they used micronized process vs HTC using Anodizing two different distinct processes Anodizing normally does not produce a plastic feeling but it does give it a muffled like hollow-ish sound if you knock on it. I held the LG and it does figuratively and literally feel like plastic, praying this isn't the case with the carbon gray HTC 10 since I pre ordered that one. I like the cool aluminum feel to the touch.

It's all in the coating. Anodized metal feels textured, nothing like any of the phones we've seen. Phone makers use a thin clear coating for protection, otherwise the metal would he heavily scuffed within a couple days. What coating, how they apply it, and how they finish it will dictate any plasticky feeling.

You guus are probably right and confusing this with the lg g5, and the chances are high that i'm gonna choose the carbon grey edition
