Carrier name on lock screen moving?

[Android Central Question]

My husband's Galaxy S8 recently started doing something strange. The "Verizon Wireless" displayed in the upper left hand corner of the lock screen has been moving around, similar to a ticker. Has anyone else seen this happen? It doesn't on my Pixel 2. Also, does anyone have any idea on how to make it stop moving?
