So I'm real excited to get my HTC One in the mail in a few days and I was wondering what case and screen protector I should get for it. I was thinking about the Case-mate Barely There, since I'm definitly a fan of the sleeker cases. I generally don't drop my phone too much, but would it be impact resistant enough to protect it from the ocassional drop? I was also thinking about the Spiegen for the screen protector, which I've read good and bad reviews about. I'm really not looking to spending more than $25 on a case and $15 on a protector. Any suggestions/past experiences with these products would be much appreciated.

I went with the otterbox commuter series case, comes with free screen protector (good quality btw) that doesn't affect back button. It not overly bulky, my two cents

I heard alot of good things about the HTC Double Dip case (though I have the Double Dip Flip, which I would not recommend if you are worried about it falling, while its a nice sleek case/cover combo, it doesnt seem to hold the phone very tight)...and I have always used Invisible Shield regular and HD on my stuff,,I personally wouldnt try anything else

Ive got both the OtterBox Commuter and the Speck Candy Shell. I like the Speck better because its not as bulky or pocket-grabby as the ottter. Its really slick on the back and is very thin.
However, I think the Otter would protect it more in the instance of a drop.

Screen protectors... Spigen all the way.

Edit:
And one more thing, the power button openning on the Speck isn't as comfortable as the Otterbox's.

I got the free Zags from Best Buy and the Rocketfish case Link

The case itself feels cheap but once on the one it's nice and feels great.

I bought the Incipio DualPro Shine case. It's a soft rubber inclosed design with a plastic spine and brushed metal back. I wanted to keep the metal look/theme of the phone and besides looking sharp, it also offers great protection. It's not cheap however but worth it imho. As for screen a protector, I always go with Zagg invisible shield be cause they are very high quality and they offer a lifetime warranty.

I don't think I'll go with the otterbox because the phone itself is pretty big and with that case It'll be like carrying around a brick in my pocket. I thought about the double dip case, but I've heard it gets dirty easily and I really want to be able to see the speakers since I think they look nice. I think I'll go with the candyshell, do you recomend with or without the grip? And as for the screen protector I'm between Zagg and Spigen. Some of the reviews say that Spigen leaves fingerprints, which is like one of the main things its supposed to prevent, but Zagg's is twice the price...

With case if you dont want bulk and looks nice I would go with the poetic atmosphere. I just bought one and its a real keeper. It does have a little lift so you can lay it on the table without working about the screen.

As far as screen protectors go, the spigen ultra crystal attracts fingerprints and smudges like no tomorrow. I had two on my iphone and didn't like it at all. Im waiting for my xtremeguard atm but I bought a screen protector from my local mall that was a chinese brand and quite suprisingly happy with it. No problem with cap. buttons at all.

I'm using a Otterbox, but I also have some rubber cases that I purchased from Amazon. The brand is Mercury and I really like them, plus they only cost $3.99. Can't really beat that.

I also got the mercury one. It's not bad at all. I don't like how the black one is all sparkly.. but $4 and it adds very little bulk. It's what I'm using until I get a full protection xtreme guard delivered. Though.. I'm not sure how much patience I have in applying the thing.

I'm using the HTC double dip flip case and have applied the HTC official screen protector. Pretty happy with both.

I'll probably go with the Poetic Atmosphere. Does anyone know if the internals would get messed up after dropping it with this case?

The poetic atmosphere looks real nice, but how protective is it? Is it impact resistant?

Those cases are currently being redone due to a design flaw. They didnt have the foresight to realize that the power button was also an IR blaster, and their run of cases actually covered the power button. I have one on order from Amazon and it wont be in stock till the 17th (other places maybe sooner and the new model with an open power button hole).

Have you figured out a way to keep the phone snug inside the case? I have it also and it by NO means feels snug and secure.

Yea I've heard, but I'm not in too much of a hurry. The only deal breaker would be if it isn't impact resistant. I don't know how easily this phone would break after dropping it a few times, so I'm still a bit skeptical on buying this case.

I'm using the Llyod case from shopandroid.com and Invisible Shield screen protector. The case is really nice, fits really well and really slim profile for such a beautiful phone.

Not even a question for me. I have two kids. Not taking any chances. Otterbox commuter series

That case looks nice! What color did you get? How does it feel? Is it slippery? Can you post a few pics?
