Case or no Case?

I've had a bumper case from Verizon on my V30 ever since I upgraded from my Note4 on Verizon. I've had to take the SD card recently and noticed how svelt and beautiful it is without a case.

Anyone risking it without a case and how dangerous really is it?

I grabbed a Ringke case of of Amazon. It's simple, thin, and looks good. I'm have way to many drops to go without a case.

Till it's dropped

It's a little slippery, otherwise I would go bareback. I have the most minimal case I could find (bear motion). It's nice and grippy.

Verizon has bumper cases for the V30? Do you know if they sell them online? I haven't been able to find any bumper cases on Amazon, but I feel like a bumper case would be the best trade off between no case and case for me

I can barely even use the phone without a case. Bezels are too small on the sides. Can't barely snap a selfie on Snapchat without my palm interfering.

The V30 is the first phone I put a case on, due to the glass back. (Spigen Neo Hybrid)
The case also helps with the slickness.

I just grabbed this case myself. This phone does need a case, very slippery to me. It's unfortunate cause this phone looks great without a case.

Sure it needs a case. It's all glass! The most protective and best case I've found is called Unicorn Beetle. I got it on am.

I ended up getting this ultrathin portfolio case on amazon. My other case has a chip/splinter on the rubber bumper than was dangerous

Coverl LG V30 Case,Ultra Slim fit,Kickstand,Card Slot,TPU Bumper,Anti-Scratch,Flip Leather PU Wallet Case for LG V

The case I had from verizon was the Speck Presidio Grip Case for LG V30. I kind of like the grip on the Speck Cases. I had similar speck cases for my note 4 and iphone 6+

They are kind of bulky and let the screen get exposed

Let's just say.. I bought a thin profile case (in another thread here). It gets brittle eventually, looks nice, but have two nice cracked edges from a toss (2x) onto the counter that with a normal case would not have mattered.

Yeah while the V30 looks great naked, it's a bit thin to hold for me, so I went with a case. That's the nice thing though, it's so thin that even with a case like the Spigen Tough Armor, it's still very pocketable and looks good too.

I've repaired a lot of phones, but none that were damaged by drops when they were in an Otterbox Defender. (The Unicorn Beetle is supposed to be about as safe, but I've never owned one, so I can't say.)
