Design:
The case is your standard Folio design with flip cover. The flip cover includes a built-in magnet for sleep/wake functionality. In my weeks of using the case, the sleep/wake functionality worked 100% of the time. There was not a single instance of the magnet not performing properly. The case doubles as a landscape oriented stand. Using small velcro strips, the case can be placed into a multitude of angles. This is great for media viewing or when using a Bluetooth keyboard. The case cannot be used for similar functionality in portrait mode, however. This was not promised or advertised though so there is no disappointment associated with that. While I do enjoy the overall design, I felt that a few points made me have to remove two stars. The first one is that the case does not allow you to fold the cover around the back with ease. You have to bend it a bit and I feel like it will cause creasing and loss of quality over time. In addition, the cutout from the screen is just enough to let the screen shine through. Because of this, using the pull-down notification bar can be difficult at times. I found myself having to swipe more than once on many occasions.
Durability:
The case really excels in durability. It is built very well all around. The case feels very solid in the hand and does not feel like there is any risk of threading coming loose or the quality decreasing over time.
Protection:
Being a full folio case, I feel that this case offers some of the best protection around outside of an Otterbox. The device is protected in at least some aspects on all sides and I'm sure would withstand a lot of damage in the event of a drop.
Visual Appeal:
The case is very plain. Just standard black leather appearance with no visually stunning qualities. But for most people, that is exactly what they are looking for.

Tough to use notification bar at times
Cannot fold the cover around to the back easily

I would recommend this case to any Nexus 7 owner.
