Looking for a slim case with decent protection. Preferably with a lip around the screen so when I lay it face down it keeps the screen off the table. How is the dual layer Google live case? Read they are still slim but can't find a clear review that says there is a lip on the front.

I have the Bevel for my P2... It has become my daily driver for a case... The other one I'd look at is a Speck Presidio Grip or Show

I was in your EXACT position a few days ago and was in between two cases, the Pitaka MagCase and the Diztronic case. I went with the MagCase because of the thinness and the protection plus the magnets. Received it and it was light, beautifully constructed, and overall quality BUT it had no lip and if the phone somehow fell and was face down it'd be screwed. So I ate my $40 and ended up buying the Diztronic a couple days ago and JUST received it, it's AMAZING! My first Diztronic case and the quality, cutouts and feel are fantastic especially for $10 on Amazon.
If you need the lip like I do, get the Diztronic. It has excellent reviews it's beautifully made and feels like it will provide pretty good protection.

Did you get a case yet? Otherwise Supcase Unicorn Beatle Hybrid Premium is nice and thin with a good lip around the edges.
Amazon has a lot of different choices; and what I like is that they'll show what the cases will look like on the phone, so you know what you're getting yourself into!I bought the Seidio one (https://www.seidioonline.com/produc...-42416681&mc_cid=afb6e6e046&mc_eid=f80673f989)
I also have the Diztronic one which I have not tried on my phone yet.
The Seidio one is thinnish, but not sure if there are thinner ones. It does have the lip also.

I have a Google Live Case with my cat on it. Lovely but adds a lot of weight and bulk to the phone and made it 3mm wider than the phone. I just got a Spigen slim fit case from Amazon and it is lovely. Adds hardly any size or weight to the phone and has a lip around the edges. Highly recommended.

OMGOSH that is so adorable! I'd love to make one with my cat! But I'm like you - I like less bulk on my phone!
