I will start of by saying I know there is a lot of posts about cases. I live in Minnesota. But I created this one to ask what is the best cases for cold and winter weather. I have used otter box Defender, speck grip case. But was wondering what other cases people use. Also to see if there is any other case that is better.

best case would be an inside pocket close to your body as your body will keep the phone Warm.
best heating device about the human body

as a pogo player I pretty much rely on my body heat from an inner pocket and stuff my phone in repurposed thermal sock.

Why not try and sew a pouch from fleece material? Use a sunglasses pouch with a draw string as a template. Or buy one.

I live in Iowa, I've never given a thought to what case would be better in the winter. I don't know of any cases that provide heat for the phone, which would be the only thing that would change in the winter. As others have said, keep phone in pocket against your body to take advantage of free heat.

Any case will eventually let the phone cool down to ambient, and if that's 20 below, and you then bring the phone into a nice warm house, you're going to get water damage (the humidity in the air in the house will condense inside the -20° phone). Only keeping it where you're comfortable (an inside pocket near your skin) will prevent that, no case will.
