Cashe partition oddity...

Good Morning all, have a quick question. First of all after Nougat updated and all was fine and I'm assuming another small update came to my phone. Update download went fine install did not... Said update failed. Went to check update software and said phone was updated no new software ect.. But at the bottom it said update failed. What ever.. Went to clear cache partition and had got a blue screen with Odin high speed at the far right corner of the screen with a warning that says installing a custom rom could damage my phone?!?!? Not sure why it said that never had it appear there before the update so not sure what it means. I have had my phone replaced with insurance so this is my second phone.. But I'm on Verizon and I know it's a locked bootloader so it's very odd to me and not sure what to do about it. Any input would be helpful.. tia

Are you sure you pressed the correct buttons to get to the Recovery Menu? Odin usually requires that you press Power/Home/Vol Down, while Recovery is Power/Home/Vol Up. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30240

Well I believe I had done that.. But I researched it a bit and figured it out. Thanks for the reply.
