I am still troubleshooting and trying to find fixes, but thought I would give a heads up to use caution installing the April update. It appears that this particular update may have broken some functionality on my Pixel 8 Pro. Issues so far:

1. My (normally used) Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard (and also tried GBoard) is not working now with certain websites, including the Android Central site (both keyboards do however work with the Android Central app).
2. My Microsoft Launcher no longer shows all of the web shortcuts (approx. 15-20 made using Google, Firefox and/or Edge) that I had on the home screen - they have all disappeared.
3. The phone is running warm after multiple restarts (although others have reported heat issues, I have never had the issue with either my Pixel 6 Pro or Pixel 8 Pro until now).

Still working on this and will update.

This is a test on my Gboard keyboard from my P8P. Seems to work fine for me after the update, FYI. It might be a specific set of circumstances for you causing the issue.

FWIW, I'm on Verizon with an unlocked phone directly from Google back in October.

UPDATE: After switching back and forth between SwiftKey and GBoard, playing with their settings and multiple restarts, I am able to use both SwiftKey and GBoard on websites again. The phone is also no longer running warm. The web shortcuts are just gone and I will have to re-add them to the homescreen. Strange, frustrating stuff but not nearly as bad as some of my Microsoft update experiences. 😉😂

Glad that it's fixed. I'm using gboard right now to type this and everything seems to be okay on this end. Hoping to not run into any problems.
