Cell Phone Sales Reps say the Darndest Things

Why is it, that sales rep will say or about do anything to a person, just to make a sale. Maybe you can share your story on this thread of a sales rep that done just this to you. Maybe your story will help one of us loyal android users with our next purchase so will know what to expect and watch for.

Chris got scooped on the , reps say the darnest things idea...

.. there was a post earlier , and it said they were told by a VZ rep that LTE would be coming to the Droid X and D2 through an update...yeah.....um...ok lol

Lol I just love the fact that because of sites like Android central and crackberry I am generally more informed that every rep I run into!

So true! Every time I go to the verizon store, the reps are asking me questions, lol! If there is someone new, I ask them questions to see if they have any clue what they are talking about.

I had an online rep for best buy try and tell me that the browser on BB Bold was the same as on the Dinc! That was a fun few laughs!

Oh ok, im sorry, I thought it would be insightful to start a thread for folks to share their experiences, so others wouldn't get burned. I wanna give the credit to who ever came up with the idea first. Im so sorry.

Our vzw is a wireless zone and they push android phones hard. I was trying to get the wife into the smartphone world and she wanted something simple so we went in thinking blackberry. I had one as well at the time. The trip went on a speech how there is no way to use flash game on blackberry. I go that's a lie. He have me a sour look and said I know what I am talking about. So I pulled out my tour and started playing farm ville on it. Lol. Then he brought up root and roms and how much easier ot is to do on android then berry. I coddled again. Pulled out my berry and showed him my system info that show I was on,5.0 when out wasnt out yet. And smiled and said try again.at this point some 80 year old who was almost conned into getting a phone she couldn't use said I want a berry and looked at me and went young man can you set it up please. I was asked to leave after that.



Now that same store is trying to hire me

was in radio shack and rep was telling customer that the curve was the upgrade for her tour then went on to tell her that they were the same only the new one had rounder edges instead of moving her to the bold.

Was on the phone with VZW tech support about my sisters droid which had been overheating. They told me that it is overheating because it is having to search so hard for a cell tower, despite their being one within a mile.
