If I get a Gear S2 T mobile version can I use it without T mobile just like I would the regular Bluetooth version?

Thanks
Sam

I would assume you can, but I would think it would be more expensive than the non 3g versiin.

Yes, except it can function as a BT speaker phone well. You can make and answer calls, or play podcast or music through the watch. The microphone's is pretty good quality too.

Thanks, I have a chance to buy a used version cheap but I wanted to make sure I could use it first.

Yup. I used a ATT Gear S with my Note 2, am currently using a Verizon Gear S2 with no plan paired with my Note 4.

Slightly off topic, but, have you gotten Samsung Pay to work on your Gear S2 and successfully added a debit/credit card? I'm using an AT&T S2 3G paired to my Note 4, but I'm not on AT&T, so the watch is just functioning as a bluetooth-paired device. But, I can't add a card to Samsung Pay.

Haven't even bothered. I'm more than capable of taking a card out of my wallet so, not going to get ridiculous.

If you want more responses to this particular topic, I would start another thread. I have AT&T Gear S2 and S7 Edge and Samsunbg pay works great on both devices.

Does the 3g version have built-in GPS, so that it can be used for running without being connected to my phone? I'm not going to activate it on my cell account. I just want a version that has built-in GPS.
