Hey, everybody. I've read through a lot of the questions asked like mine and most people say YMMV anywhere you may be. I get that but I'm looking to switch from Verizon and need advice from people in my area. My wife needs reliable service as she's a nurse and is on call a lot. Can anyone tell me how the service (both phone and data) is in the Brick area south to Little Egg Harbor and west to Browns Mills? Are there any dead spots we need to be aware of? How is signal penetration into buildings? Also, do they have any phones other than the Nexus 4 that can be used on AT&T as we go to Maine and where we stay there is no T-Mobile service. Your help would b greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Any of T-Mobile's LTE phones support all of AT&T bands (850, 1900 HSPA+ and 700, 1700 LTE). You'll need to unlock the phone. I've been a T-Mobile customer for more than ten years, so they unlocked my HTC One the day after I bought it, even though it wasn't paid off yet. If you pay for the phone in full they will unlock it without a problem, but if you use the EIP they might make you wait.

As for coverage, I don't spend a lot of time in Central Jersey, but I don't recall ever having a problem with signal. Building penetration will never be as good as Verizon or AT&T since T-Mobile has no low spectrum. However, WiFi calling can help with this in some situations.
