Ceramic Back

The Samsung Experience Store I went only had a dummy model, only regulars works for demo.

I was NOT impressed. The sales basically think of it you're paying $300 (CAN) more for 512GB and Samsung threw in the Ceramic lol

The essential phone has a ceramic back. I really like ceramic, it feels premium and is fairly strong. Unfortunately it does nothing to fortify the strength of the actual screen.

If I get an S10+ (and I'm leaning towards it), I'd get a ceramic back for sure. I really like the ceramic white. I don't think it'll show as many fingerprints as the black.

BTW, the higher-end Apple Watches are made of ceramic because it's more durable.

Scratch resistant, yes, but significantly more brittle and prone to breakage when dropped.

Wait. The ceramic white has rose gold sides?? I did not know that! This keeps getting better!! Ordered mine today for Friday pickup.

I don't know why people think Ceramic is brittle...

Keep in mind that ceramics are used in high end watches that go upward of $15000 and more.

Ceramics are harder. More tougher than steel in terms of hardness.

So dropping it is not like it will break it into million pieces. These aren't grandma's dishes. Lol.

There's a reason Apple uses this material as well. On their watches.

Read more information here on the properties of ceramics used today.
