Chameleon Launcher/Homescreen

Has anyone purchased this/used the beta? I just pre-ordered ($10 lol) and am eagerly awaiting my beta key. Apparently the beta is somewhat rough at the moment, but still, this looks...amazing.

Yeah man I've been using it ever since it came out . I was a backer. (5bucks) lol but its good. Something new. Its not better than nova launcher. I love how you can set screens based on your location. While I'm at work I read blogs . And while I'm home I'm on Facebook and twitter. So its pretty nice when I get to work everything is set up and waiting on me. They have added more widgets. I haven't had any lagging issues. They are slowly adding more stuff' which is great because u are always wanting more widget choices.

And I believe now you can create your own widget (if you can code) lol maybe someone can make the official android central widget

I was hesitant about kickstarter because I've been burned before. I paid the price I guess. Lol

I really like the concept behind it but it doesn't work so well right now. Admittedly it's still in development but it's pretty slow right now. And it was originally conceived for 10" tablets and only updated for 7" tablets because the Nexus 7 proved so popular. I think there's still a lot of optimizing for 7" tablets needed.

So far I love it. I posted a quasi review on G+, which is quoted here:

So far, I'm really enjoying the features +Chameleon brings to the table as both a home screen replacement and as a launcher. I think it redefines how we view our Android home and app environments, and in that sense it is wildly successful. Sure, it's still in beta so there are features missing and there's some lag here and there (notably going from Chrome back to Home), but for the most part it's everything I was hoping for.

That being said, I would absolutely love to have 2 "quasi-mandatory" widgets and I have a couple of dream widgets.

Quasi-Mandatory Widgets:

(1) Calendar - goes without saying, I reckon.

(2) Google Plus - I want nothing to do with Facebook. While I love Twitter for sports (and it's unrivaled there, IMHO), Google Plus is my social center. Get on it. Also, get out of here with your Instagram.

Dream Widget(s):

(1) Tapatalk. This might be a pain in the ass, but having a widget that reads out new posts, our subscribed forums, etc., would be simply amazing.

(2) Maps. Not really necessary; not sure how I'd actually use it. But it would be kind of cool.

Also, according to their Twitter response, we should be seeing .9.3 in the near future!

Beta 9.5 Release Candidate is out! The final version appears to be close. I pre-ordered Chameleon and installed the beta because I liked the concept and look. However, I am waiting for the final release to switch. I have enough problems with buggy software without adding another one.

Been playing with it since it updated and it seems to eliminate a lot of the smaller bugs like Facebook not loading.
