Change 5ghz to 2.4ghz Galaxy S7 edge

[Android Central Question]

I updated my Galaxy S7 edge from Android V.7 to V.8 and I lost the connexion to my Xbox360 via hotspot. I thing my phone now is 5ghz after that update and my Xbox is 2.4ghz. How can I change 5 to 2.4 in my phone??? I can not find how to do it!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Just to clarify -- you're saying that you're using the Xbox as a hotspot? And that the Xbox hotspot no longer shows up in the phone's wi-fi list?

I'm reading it the other way (or maybe my mind just assumes it's the other way).

For the OP, typically there have been no such options to change the "band" (2.4 gHz or 5 gHz) the hotspot is using, although it seems maybe Android 11 added this as an option as my Pixel 2XL now has this option.

Oh yeah, I think you're right.

Go to the hotspot menu and tap More: https://www.androidcentral.com/how-use-your-galaxy-s7-mobile-hotspot. Is there an option there to select the band there?
