Change DatePicker in SPlanner to calendar view?

I havent been able to find any setting in jellybean or SPlanner that would allow changing the datepicker from tumbler-style to calendar-style, yet the android dev site's description of the builtin datepicker says there is a calendar view option. And SPlanner seems to be using this builtin picker.

Is there a way to get the calendar view, perhaps by changing intent extras through a developer tool?
