Change Message tone by contact

[Android Central Question]

Just upgraded from s6 to s9. How do you set a different message tone for different contacts? It used to be a setting within each contact but now there is only the ringtone option?

Unfortunately, you'll have to install a different texting app such as Textra. Then you can assign different tones and colored notification for each contact.
