I have all my contacts organized into groups. This is far quicker for me to find the people I communicate with than browsing through the ALL PEOPLE, which is what the phone dialer comes up to by default. Two taps and a swipe, and I'm there for most entries.

Is there a way to change this and/or to create a shortcut directly to GROUPS (as appears at the base of the phone dialer?

At the top of the [PEOPLE] listing, there's ALL, and a downarrow - if I click on that, I get "View", and All is the only one. I can't find anywhere to create a view so that I could hope to change it to GROUPS or somesuch. What's the purpose of the View if you can't change it?

Vaguely related is a desire to NOT have the darned phone blow off to dialing an entry if I inadvertently touch something in the call history - there's no confirmation, it just starts dialing if an attempt to scroll is seen as a tap.

Well, I found that when you go into People, at the bottom there are the All, Groups, and Call History tabs. If you press and hold one, it will say press and hold to rearrange. You can press and hold to move Groups to the far left. Unfortunately it appears that when you open People, it still goes to all no matter where that tab is. So I'm still working on it.

Yes, I noted the same thing. And also that shortcut creation has no option for groups, and the PEOPLE shortcut (that can be on the main phone screens) has no properties (hold and wait for EDIT | DELETE to appear, EDIT is dimmed).

As a minimum compromise, it'd be nice if the ALL listing would collapse to a set of Rolodex tabs for the letters under which there are entries, then I could get to things more quickly (but even then, I'm a GROUPS kinda guy).
