Change which account is ME in Contacts??

I'm using Android 4.1.2

The wrong account is ME in Contacts

I connect 4 accounts in Contacts
a business account (google apps google mail and google+)
a personal account (google apps google mail and google+)
a gmail account
and facebook

the business account is currently ME in Contacts which means if I send an email from my phone from the personal account the image shown is not the personal image it's the business image

how can I change ME in Contacts to be my personal account?

I do not have multiple gmail accounts so this is only a suggestion. Can you not select a default account in the phone settings? I'm guessing you added the business account first. If not, can you uninstall all of the Google accounts and then add the one you want first and then the other ones?

I have yet to solve the problem but have more clues. At the same time things have gotten worse.

So I tried deleting my business google apps account from my phone. This put my personal google mail account as ME
I then added back my business google apps account and it took over as the ME account in contacts. Ugh!

But worse, no contacts are showing up in my Hangouts when on Google+ with my personal account now.

So I tried removing the business google app account from my phone again. And sure enough my personal account became ME in Contacts again.
so I added back my business account. And everything seemed fine for a minute

Then I tried joining contact info of one of my contacts. I have them as a Contact in my Google contacts online, they are in my Google+ circles, and they have a Facebook account
The minute I join the contact my business account became ME

What the heck is going on?

and I know this is unrelated but when I'm in Google+ now, none of the people in my Google+ Circles shows up in Hangouts anymore. If anyone know how/why that happened because I removed an account from my phone but then added it back even though that account is NOT the Google+ account I'm logged into online that would also be a great help.

in the end I'm still trying to figure out why that google apps account keeps becoming ME in Contacts. It's acting very strange
