Changes To Game Launcher Recording

Before the Pie updates you could record pretty much anything. Now I see that you have to add the app that you want to record in the game Launcher settings. However you could also use to set the recording audio options. As in, you could record only internally or leave the external mic on. That way you could record good quality audio. Now that option to record only the internal sound has then taken away, as far as I can see. Or am I just missing something? Because now, the audio really sucks when I try to record anything else besides a game. But anyway, I would really love some help with this because I need to get some audio for a video I'm on making on kinemaster. Thanks so very much in advance. Take care, and everybody love everybody.
