Changing framerate on mate 20 pro

Hi All

For the life of me I can not find where to change the framerate on the Mate 20 pro.

I even tried installing google camera but find that the frame rates are not supported by the phone. Actually any framerate for that matter, like its locked down.

it should be able to do 720 P @ 960 although I think this is done in post. But I would still expect it to do 120 at 720.

Also via more -> slow mo is restricted to a few seconds and its hard to control when to actually start recording in slow motion, sometimes I may want longer clips like capturing some specific sports shots.

So the question is where can I change the framerate of Mate 20 pro while recording video?

In the firmware. You'd have to get AOSP, stick in some APIs to change the framerate, add the hardware interface to the Mate 20 Pro, then write a camera app that can call those APIs.

It's not a trivial project.
