Changing my name on Nexus 7 gmail app??

Hi Everyone!
I changed my name on my PC gmail account. I deleted the gmail app and signed in again on my Nexus 7 gmail app. My name under my profile pic is correct, but when I send myself an email it has my old name.
I just got divorced and really want my maiden name.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I have not been able to find any answers in my searches.

Are you talking about the signature (that's in the Gmail app, in settings, under the account email address) or the name of the account itself (mary.smith@gmail.com vs. mary.jones@gmail.com)?
