Changing Primary Google Talk Account

Is there a way to change my primary Google Talk to a different gmail account than the one I set up initially on my droid?

I would prefer to not have to download another Google Talk client or factory reset my phone. Any other way?

My phone is rooted if that helps...

You can add multiple Google accounts to your phone w these steps
Press Menu>Settings>Accounts and Sync>tap Add account and proceed thru the next few steps which includes signing into another Google account name then you can select which account you want to use and sign in with so you can use gtalk with that one.
