Quick question, but how do i permanently change the screen timeout duration? I know the setrings-display-screen timeout way. It only works once then reverts back to 30 seconds. Is there a way to save the selected option? I had the same issue on my Sony Z2.

That should permanently as well and it works fine for me as I have set it to 15 sec and remains that way forever.

Mine worked for a while on the 1 minute setting. Then it reverted back to the 30 seconds option. Almost like it's a factory made default setting. Has anyone else experienced this? Or know of a permanent fix?

Keep in mind there's Not standard--Timeout change setting, even if you
use the Android-OS: I got recently a SGs7 it came with 30 seconds
Timeout..Changed 1st to 1min. pressed home button toReturn

to Normal status. Went to settings >Display >Timeout showed
still 30-Secs. Changed to 2mins & Press the <Return button
then back to Home-screen. Timeout setting was Saved
to 2mins. Open these links to find more abaout...

I had the same problem, turned out to be a setting in CleanMaster > battery saver that was overriding the system setting.
