Changing sd memory card and cloud storage

If i change my memory card in my phone, which already has all my photos in it. And also this data is backed up to google photos cloud storage. If i put a blank memory card in the phone, will i then lose my photos on the cloud when it next syncs and realises I have no more cloud photos on my phone?

No, your cloud backup will remain. You may have to tell it to start backing up from the new card, depending on the service you're using and how it's setup.
