Charge Asus Transformer TF701 for the first time

Question : got the TF701 today with the keyboard dock.
In both user guides, it says to charge both the pad AND the dock for 8 hours for the first time before using them in battery mode.
Do I have to charge them separately for 8 hours for the first time, or can I dock the pad into the keyboard and then charge them for 8 hours ?

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think it really matters. I think you can charge them while they're attached--just keep charging until both tablet and keyboard are registering full charges.
