I am a former Droid incredible user and with the Incredible I was able to bump charge to get battery to charge in full. How do I get the Droid X to have a full charge. I charge the x and itsays 100 when is fully charged. I take off charger and do a few things to check mail or schdule and a minute later it is 98%
Is there any thing I can do or is there anything I am missing?
please help forum buddies.

Unless you notice a major drain over several hours, what you are experiencing is normal. You will get the "fully charged" message while still plugged in to the charger, or briefly when you take it off. Once you are off the charger, the X is pulling power even to shift to it's own ops.

If you have major battery drain over a few hours, check to make sure GPS is off (unless needed), wifi is off (if you leave it on, your X will spend precious power searching for the connection if you are out of range), widgets that need frequent updates are either deleted or the update cycle is made less frequent, and you keep your screen brightness at automatic or, better yet, the minimum unless outside. There are widgets (ex: Extended Controls) that you can place on your home screen to let you change screen brightness easily.

Do a search for battery saving tips and you will find many discussions that contain even more good ideas.

I appreciate the feedback- as I mentioned earlier, there was a process to bypass this sudden drop with the Droid Incredible is there one for the Droid x. Thanks for feedback

Bump charging is going to kill a battery. The reason they don't charge to 100% and stay there is to preserve the battery life.

Why do consumers always think they know more than the manufacturers?

You didnt say if you was rooted or not , but if you was rooted you could go in to recovery under advance settings and wipe batttery stats. There are also apps for rooted phones help calibrate battery.

If not rooted since the motorola goes by a 5% charging scale I think ,,,, instead of 1% scale , you might just wana leave it pluged into charger a little longer once it reaches 100% mark so you know its actially 100% and not say 96% or 98% , thats about all ya can do

What are some good apps for rooted phones to calibrate battery? My battery says it's in good health, but once it gets down to 20%, it drains fast and it goes from 15% to 5% and off REALLY quickly. So basically at 15%, my phone is really at 0%.

And is there a way for the top bar to show the charge % by 1% instead of by 10? I have circle battery widget and it shows the charge by 1%, but I'd like to see if I can get that on the notification bar.
