This may sound really stupid, but I need some kind of explanation. Is there any possible way that a charger not made by LG could cause a crack in the screen of my g2?

I was at a friends house so I borrowed her charger, left my phone for about 10 mins, and when i came back the screen was cracked. its at the top of my screen so the pull down menu doesn't slide down.

when i plug my phone into non LG chargers, it spazzes out, like someone is randomly hitting buttons even when its not being touched.

I don't think it could cause cracks. But using a non original charger can cause the touch screen to be a bit spazzy. Different chargers have different output levels. I experienced issues with my old Droid 3 when I used my kindle fire charger on it. The screen would jump around and trying to scroll up and down on web pages would make the screen zoom in and out spazmodically.

At least you can add the notification pull-down to your front touch buttons

I'd lean towards someone knocking the phone off the table and not fessing up. :) Any kids that were in the vicinity?

Seriously though -- the typical overheat spot if that's what we might think it might be that caused the crack isn't near the top of the phone, it's usually the battery which according to the teardown diagrams is more in the middle. Certainly possible though. Any possibility of it being cracked before but not noticed? Just going through possibilities -- no offense meant.

yeah the battery is in the lower 2/3s of the phone. I don't know if this has any bearing on the matter but if you play some games and then feel where it gets most warm at the back, it's always where the camera is near the top.
