Hey guys, new to the site and have been learning A LOT! Recently I have been having this problem with my stock Samsung charger. I have been really careful with using it, unplugging it when its not being charged, careful not to drop it, stuff like that. Recently while charging, it makes this high pitched squealing noise. Its loud and sometimes varies in pitch, but it always does it. Not when its just plugged in, the phone has to be charging for it to happen. The phone still charges fine I was just wanting to know if I was the only one who had this problem. My previous phone (Evo 4g) would EAT chargers every 4 months or so, so I babied this one, but its still acting up. Any thoughts? Dangerous to use with the phone? Possible to take it back to Sprint for a new one?

Honestly if it's still relatively new there's no harm in taking it back if you're uncomfortable with it. Sprint has never given me a hard time about stuff like that so I don't think they'd hassle you too much

I've had it since December so that might not be ok. I did get insurance tho, maybe they can give me a new one based of that? I've never even charged anything but my Note 2 with it out of fear it would mess up the charger somehow.

Trust me I'm the same. I have yet to plug this in to any other charger. Just try taking it to them.

I have the exact same problem since I bought my phone. I always thought the sound was coming from the phone when its charging. See if yours is the phone or the charger?

Its the charger, my partner has the same Note2 and when I use his charger there is no noise. Last night the noise would go in and out.
