Yes and no, it is the same design but the charging contacts are in a slightly different place so they are not interchangeable. I am not concerned with it breaking.

Breaking is not a concern to me at all. Seems sturdy enough.

Seems fine to me if you take a bit of care with it. We'll see.

I'm quite curious on this myself, but at least I'll only have to wait until later today to find out. This and outdoor visibility are my primary concerns with this watch.

As crazy as it may sound it does seem lighter and of a lesser quality than the Gear 2 charger.

Had mine for a week, no issues, just be careful how you snap it on.

I'm more worried when I go to remove it honestly. Wish it had a tab on each side or something you had to push in to release
