Charges for Sprint Equipment Proctection

So I have a question, I've had an EVO since launch with Sprints Total Equipment Protection. Ive scratched the screen up to the point where it's starting to bother me, if I go in to have them fix it is there still the $100 charge for replacing the phone? Thanks guys.

They may just be able to replace the screen at no charge. I had a light defect on mine, took it to my local corporate store and they replaced just the screen for me in like 45 minutes. Then again mine was a defect and yours is not.

If that is the only problem you have... then No.

Depending on how nice the rep is they might exchange the screen for you(probably).

Good to know, every time I used it for my Pre I got a different answer. Sometimes they said they were gonna have to charge me and others would do it for free. I find their TEP rather confusing.

Physical damage was added when TEP changed in late Oct. Somewhat good deal now that it covers physical damage.

Basically its gonna depend on the rep at ur local store....some are aware of the inherent problems and do all they can for free....others have no idea and instead of finding out for you they just say TEP......my Pre bricked once after having it for 7-8 months and the rep replaced the phone for me for free...others werent so lucky.....so its really coming to all depend

Could you please tell me where you seen this. I was looking on sprint.com and they still say that Loss, theft, physical or liquid damage and resulting corrosion, and fire or lightning damage you will have to file a claim with Asurion

There are a lot of different stories to what is covered, and what is not. I have heard that liquid damage has now been included as well. I wasn't aware of physical damage being apart of the TEP warranty exchange.

That would be awesome then.
