For my vehicle actually. I bought one through Verizon and to be honest I am not overly impressed. The charging is often painfully slow while driving down the road. Is there one on the market I can use using the USB connection in the truck? I try and not buy anything through Amazon and so on for fear of getting some imported garbage but maybe it is all imported garbage in the end. Anyone?

I think this has less to do with the charging cable than your truck not having charging ports with Fast Charging that is compatible with your phone.

I have a 2020 RAV4 and it charges just fine, but I used to have a 2008 F-150 and the USB ports in it could not keep up with charging the phone while using GPS. I ended up needing to buy a charger that uses the Lighter Port and it worked a lot better. Give it a test with a new charger and see how it works.

The lighter port is in a dumb position up on top meaning the cord would be dangling down in front of the screen and controls. Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate. But the USB explanation makes sense.

Unfortunately most USB charging ports in cars are going to give you some of the slowest speeds and it does pay to get one of those car socket adapters that can do Fast or Superfast charging. It does stink if the port is in an undesirable position, though.
