Does the S10+ require a special charging cord? I noticed today I was getting connection errors using my car charger that I used with my note 9. I tried other ones when I got home, same thing, I would see charging times of 7+ hours. I grabbed the one that came with the phone and it works just fine. I am using the same cords and charger heads that I fast charged the note 9 with.

Should work fine with those other cords. I have a few from maker they work fine- fast charge.

I think I have a bad charging port. The cable that came with the phone is acting up also. Sometimes it won't do anything, then I get check charging connection, or I'll get fast charging, or regular charging. It does different things off and on each time I plug it in. Just now noticed it, first time I used plug in charger.

Anyone know if I can go thru Verizon for warranty or do I have to go thru Samsung. I bought it thru Samsung, but I know Verizon handles warranty for phones purchased other places like best buy.

I would at least try through Verizon first if it's the Verizon version of the phone. Their warranty exchanges are usually pretty smooth, but I've seen enough nightmare stories from Samsung direct exchanges to steer me clear of them. Then again, I think Samsung now partners with repair shops in the U.S. So they may have you to to one of them for a repair instead of a replacement.

I live in the middle of nowhere, so I'll try Verizon first, it is a Verizon version. The one time I brave buying direct thru Samsung I have a issue right away. I haven't had an issue with a phone for a very long time, and this is the time I do, my first purchase from Samsung. Might be easier to just do a insurance claim and pay the deductible

Why do you have to pay deductible for actual phone defect? I mean you are not even out of return period still and you are talking about paying deductible

Unless you break the phone like cracked glass etc, all other phone issues are covered for free under the standard one year warranty.

I'm just saying it might be easier to just do that instead of dealing with Samsung. I'm going to try with Verizon first and see if they can swap it out. I'm sure I'll have to wait till one comes available

What did they say?
Have to deal with Samsung. I'm in a pickle. My note 8 is in route to them, Samsung said they don't do exchanges, have to return the phone then reorder it. So another words I would lose my certificate, who knows about the note 8. I reminded them about premium care and how it states problems with your phone we will get you a new one next day, even if it's damaged. So have to call premium care and probably find out that's BS. I also need to contact fed ex and see if I can get the package returned, doubting I can being Samsung provided the shipping.

I know one thing is for sure, I'll not be buying phones direct thru Samsung anymore.

Damn, I'm so sorry to hear that. Please keep us updated and hopefully it works out in the end.

Ouch. I hope you get an acceptable resolution. If not, that's a tough lesson to learn. I know Verizon catches a lot of flak for their prices and customer service sometimes, but they do have one of the best warranty claim services when you buy through them.

As far as halting the transit on your trade in, I've never heard of anyone trying that. Definitely worth a shot, but you may be right about Samsung having to make that call. Once it's in their hands, it's as good as gone.

Let's hope it's as food as Google's premium care. 2nd day shipment (and they sent me 4 phones before the problem was cleared up).
They told if there are any issues with the new phone to just call them. Unfortunately because of the new release it's on backorder right now. Saying 4 to 5 days.

Premium care seems to be good. Just received email saying new phone shipped and will be here in 2 days. Samsung premium is thru asurion, that's the email address I received the email from, so that explains it, Samsung isn't running it.

That's who Sprint uses!

for now get a wireless charger until you can do a direct swap. Samsung insurance has always been a breeze, when it's in stock.
I don't get why Verizon won't take it back since it is a factory defect and they sold it.

Verizon didn't sell it to me, Samsung did. They will take them back for everyone else, basically not Samsung direct. Even Verizon doesn't want to deal with Samsung direct.

I have a wireless charger, I use it 90% of the time. I use car chargers in the car, that's when I first noticed it.
