So I've setup chargers at multiple places in my home, in both cars and at work. I noticed differences in charge levels and charging times between these and was trying to rectify those with problems. Did a bit of reading and this is what I understood.
High power chargers(2.0 A or even 1.0 A) will charge the device faster.
Micro USB cables can be data/charge cables or charge only cables. If I get a wall USB adapter and plug a Data/charge cable to it, the phone will consider it a USB connection and trickle charge
My doubt is this
1) I have a Wall USB adapter (I will refer to it as wall adapter A) which when used to charge the phone always shows "charging (usb)" on the battery settings screen on phone. The same cable with a Motorola wall USB adapter shows "charging (AC)". So this cable has to be a charge only cable right? I mean if it was a data+charge cable , then the phone wouldn't have detected the Motorola Wall plug as a AC charger. In that case, why does the phone show "charging (usb)" when using "wall adapter A" ? Is it because Wall adapter A supplies 500 ma or less?
2) If the cable used in previous case is not a data+charge cable, how is it that my phone is seen as a portable media device when I connect it to computer via this cable and I am able to transfer files back and forth between my PC and phone?
