charging issue?

so, I put my phone on the charger last night-as I often (read; nightly) do. alls well and good.

i wake up this morning, the battery is showing FIFTY percent, and charging.

....eff?

any issues with this?

i am NOT using the stock charger, for what its worth. It's not an after market one either. It's the charger from my Verizon branded LG HBM 570 bluetooth.

Why am I using this charger? Because the cord on it is longer than 2 inches...unlike the Moto cable.

I've been using the charger pretty much since late November, and have never had this issue at all.

any suggestions? i have it plugged into the Motorola charger (after jimmy riggng my surge protector closer to my desk so i can actually have my phone on my ezeStand, and keep it out of reach of my 20 month old daughter.

Well, to start is everything plugged in securely? Have you tried other means of charging (ie, USB)?

If its only that older charger then I would recommend getting it swapped out.

If nothing else works, I'd hate to say it... but it could be the phone.

yeah, everything was plugged in securely. i plugged it into the moto charger, and it was went up to 70% in like 20 minutes, so....i think I might have found the culprit. guess ill swap my charger out at work monday.
