Charging issues after latest Android update!?

just had the latest update to "One UI version android 10". I'm running a Samsung S9+ and have previously had no issues. All of a sudden, since the update the charge keeps stopping midway. It's like the power is randomly being turned on an off. Have cleaned the USB connection and am a careful user so there's no chance that I've ever damaged the connection. It's not the plug or cable as I've tried a different one and it's even doing it on wireless charging.
I may be wrong but I'm getting the feeling that somethings wrong with the update. I would also add that battery life is also much shorter after a charge.

@Keith70, since you've identified that it doesn't appear to be a charger/cable issue, have you rebooted the phone since this issue began? Maybe a Volume Down/Power button squeeze and hold until it reboots, to see if it resets the glitch and stops the problem? I'd start there, see what it does, before digging deeper into other areas.
