::begin rant:: I've tried for the past few months to still love my phone. I was super excited about it when I first got it back in Aug 2015. Then the S7 Edge was released, and effectively killed what the S6 Edge + was supposed to be. Why Samsung released what was basically the successor for the phone six months after its release, still irks me to no end. All of my friends switched to the S7 edge and I was stuck with my S6 Edge + without its always on display and lack of water proofing. But, I kept on, enjoyed the extra screen real estate, and once it got 6.0, all was fine with the world.

Until a couple of weeks ago. I noticed some of my chargers weren't working like they were supposed to; wobbling to and fro, skipping in and out of charging, and not charging as quickly as they once had. I'd switch the cable, and it'd work as it was supposed to. Weird, but whatever. Then the cables I switched started doing the same. Definitely odd. There was no stress placed on the cables while plugged in (and most of the time when I charged, it was via wireless charging while I slept). Then tonight all heck broke loose. I placed my phone on the wireless charger as usual, but instead of going to bed, I went back to my living room to watch some TV. I kept hearing a beeping noise, I couldn't place. Mute the TV, hear it faintly, but then it stopped. Repeat. Finally figured it was my phone making the "now charging" beeps over and over again. I figured I had just not placed it centered on the dock and went to reposition. This is where I figured out I was in for a night full of aggravation. I took the phone off the wireless charger, and it kept beeping! >.<

So now I have to go tomorrow (luckily a day off work) and see if VZW will replace it, but I'll likely still have to pay the $100 deductible or whatever they wish to call it. Or try to go to a local "repair" shop to see if they can fix the charging port. OR pay off the remaining balance ($400) and try to trade it in on a new phone. I'm over it. I want a new phone. I don't want to sink any more money into this phone than I have to. I'm highly disappointed that I have been so let down by a phone that I shouldn't be having any problems with (it's a $900 phone that I've had for little over a year, always in a case, with a screen protector). Seriously thinking about a Pixel XL, even tho it's kinda ugly. /rant

tl:dr > Phone charging port is messing up and constantly giving me the charging beep notification over and over. it's annoying and I'm over this phone. But I still owe on the payment plan.
