Charging Notification

On my Note 8, I use to get a notification that my phine was charging. I liked it because if I was out somewbwr e different, it would tell me if my phone was fast charging. Some how that notification got blocked/shut off. Anyone know how to turn it back on? I don't see it anywhere in the notification settings.

I read this on the 31st but hesitated to reply cause Im not sure what the question was. But I'll take a best guess and point you in a direction that might help.

Go to Settings, Device Maintenance, Battery (lower left corner), then 3 dots upper right corner, Advanced settings.

Here you have charging options. All of mine are turned on. Also show percent on status bar... At the top of that screen you have Notification settings. From there you can turn on low battery notifications.

All mine are on. What use to happen is in my notification center I would get an alert that my phone was charging. But the important thing is it would also tell me if it was just charging or if it was fast charging. I knew longer get that notification.

I just plugged my in to see the notification. Its "Android System: Fast wireless charging". My best guess is you have notifications disabled for android system. Go to Settings > Apps > Menu to show system apps. Scroll down to Android system. Tap that and make sure notifications are allowed.

I'll keep playing with my own settings to see what other possibilities I come up with.

I'm having the same issue. I used to get the android system notification that my phone was charging and what type of charging was being used (e.g., cable charging, fast charging, etc.) along with the time remaining. Somehow this notification just abruptly stopped appearing when charging my phone. There are no notification options for Android System in settings, you can only choose to show/hide them on the lock screen, but cannot edit any other behaviors.

someone else posted their phone stopped fast charging after his phone got wet. It would only show normal charging. He had to exchange but phone at his carrier as they couldn't solve the issue at the store.

I'm in the same boat as y'all, I get no notification at all anymore either. I know mine got wet, did yours as well?

Guess I'll be exchanging my phone this week.

Did anyone figure this out? There is no setting to turn on/off battery charging notifications. It just stopped. I too liked the notification to confirm charging and/or fast charging on my Note 8.

Settings, Notifications, Notification Reminder, scroll to your battery monitor app, make sure it's ticked.

How did you do it? I'm having the same problem today. Last time I "Reset App Preferences" and it was fixed but I have to update again all permissions.

This is an old thread, but I wanted to jump in and give the answer for any future google searches:

SystemUI notifications were blocked, turn them back on, or reset app preferences under Notifiactions>Advanced>3 dots > show system apps.

When I tab on System UI, I get a blank screen with just the header (the app name); I get no option to toggle the notification on/off. Is there any other place to do this? Thanks!

I can't get the notification that says "slow charging" when my note 8 is charging slowly. So, what is the name of the "battery app monitor" under the notification reminder?
