Charging problems

My phone keeps getting the message charging stopped due to low battery temperature. It used to happen everynow and then but is becoming more frequent. I had to take the battery out and put it back in to make it charge again. However now it is not working. Is this a sign of the battery wearing down and should I replace the battery? The battery is about a year old.

I see you are pretty new, welcome to the forums.
Sure, I would give that a try. Or, if you have a friend who has an S3, the batteries should be the same across all carriers, so ask to put theirs in and charge for a few minutes. if it works, there is your issue.
